Panasonic HD NVR

Panasonic have now made their leading edge NVR, the WJ-NV200, available
to buy through Norbain. Part of the iPro range the HD NVR boasts a host
of advanced features.

panasonic WJ-NV200These include the ability to record up to 30 IPS
across all the 16 channels in a multi format. The NVR recorder also
supports a full HD video output through an HDMI port allowing all images
to be displayed in HD. The quality is exceptional.

As we have mentioned here before at integrated CCTV the intelligent
facial recognition feature is the big selling point of the WJ-NV200
working in conjunction with the latest smart HD iPro cameras, multiple
face matching can be achieved. These HD CCTV images are matched with a
stored database in order to trigger alarms open doors or welcome
recognised customers, the possibilities in fact are endless.

Search facilities integrated into this HD NVR include an easy to use time line or alternatively you
can use the quick search calendar.

Leading the way as always the WJ-NV200 is what Panasonic hope to be one
of their big sellers during 2011. As HD recording and displayed images
comes of age we can expect Panasonic to be at the forefront of this.

WV-SC385 Megapixel PTZ dome from Panasonic

Panasonic PTZ megapixel IP dome

We recently highlighted the New WJ-NV200 network video recorder from Panasonic. The NVR is one way Panasonic hope to bring IP video to the masses. Facial recognition is a key feature of the WJ-NV200 but any recording solution can only be as good as good as the streamed images that are being input into the NVR. That is why Panasonic have released two new cameras to help compliment their recording solution. They are the WV-SP102 and the WV-SP105. In a bid to target small retail, workshop and office environments both the cameras come in both VGA or HD formats both giving 720p definition.

The I-PRO series though also needed a megapixel IP dome camera with fully functional PTZ . This is about to be released by Panasonic and is the WV-SC385. Features include H.264 /MPEG-4JPEG dual streaming up to 30 images per second (IPS). Also megapixel images up to 4VGA . The new WV-SC385 also boasts true day/night and most importantly POE . It is IP 66 rated and ONVIF compliant. The most important point is the Panasonic name that tends to suggest that this fully functional PTZ dome will be both innovative and reliable.

WJ-NV200

Panasonic sales staff are have been touting the benefits of the WJ-NV200, their new IP CCTV offering to the security market place. With good reason. They are all very excited about the product and the features that have been incorporated into it. One of them, facial recognition, is certainly an interesting concept. Could it be used as an access control tool to replace biometric readers and card entry systems by opening doors to only those who it recognises?. We have reviewed the WJ-NV200 and see this as an important development for Panasonic and the future of IP surveillance systems.  See the full news and product review.
