Bold Communications integrates Panasonic and Samsung into Gemini

Axis, Panasonic and Samsung are the latest big name manufacturers to be integrated into the Gemini front end CCTV from Bold communications.
Bold communications has already integrated many CCTV, intruder, fire and lone worker monitoring
products into their alarm monitoring control room solution. Gemini allows a large variety of different security systems to be monitored by one common interface allowing the central station operator to easily handle many different alarms with ease.

By displaying pre alarm information, the operator is more easily able to tell the difference between real and false alarms. With the Gemini event centre all alarms are processed by a common interface, this reduces operator training time and means a more professional response to alrm situations.

Sophisticated system features, for example, associating any standard
intruder or fire panel with a remote CCTV system, creates a truly
integrated solution with a high level of intelligent and targeted site
monitoring for your control room.  Gemini is now being specified for a wide variety of security solutions and projects worldwide, a totally integrated CCTV solution offers a high level of targeted response from within the control room.

For over 30 years Bold has been working with central stations developing management systems for
the alarm and CCTV monitoring. Bold now has a reputation within the security industry as a reliable robust solution for central stations with Gemini management software.

How Integrated security works for your business.

Mike Gillespie explains how integrated security can be much more than just a security system. ROI is a crucial consideration when deciding what systems to purchase and Mike explains all the factors that could see a ROI on an integrated security package sooner rather than later.

As the video explains integrated security can give you so much more than just CCTV images. Integrated security is about using the CCTV and Access control systems to give the end user more information about his business , how he can improve the way the business operates and how he can adjust his business model based information that an integrated security system can give you.

So take a few a minutes to listen to the whole video, it is impressive how Mike talks about all the benefits and turns and integrated security solution from what some may consider an unnecessary cost into a positive must for the end users.

Infiniti Integrated PTZ camera.Dedicated Micros Thermal CCTV solution.

The Infiniti integrated PTZ camera is Dedicated Micros answer to thermal CCTV. They have gone for a fully functional Integrated solution using a day/night CCTV camera and a thermal imaging unit together in the same housing. By combining the two different technologies Dedicated Micros Infiniti has an answer to all lighting conditions, in theory you will never be without a picture or thermal images to work with . Great for high security situations.

The Infiniti also comes in both analogue and IP versions and is housed in a IP66 enclosure. A sun shield and  integrated washer and wiper ensure that the lens is well protected against the elements. The Infiniti also has simultaneous streams from both of the integrated cameras and the thermal imaging unit has an exceptional range of 900M. Brilliant for scenarios where an early warning of movement is required.

We recently told you of how we believe Thermal imaging will start to be used more and more in the mainstream CCTV market and now with the Bosch Metal Mickey and 360 vision’s thermal predator. The competition is starting to hot up. Flir also are trying to reduce their prices in order to compete with these new kids on the block. The only negative comments we have heard is aesthetically, the Infiniti does not really match the some of its closest rivals…as i was told..comparing the the camera with its closest rivals is a little like comparing Cheryl Cole and Susan Boyle………not quite sure what they meant by that ……………….

Honeywell and SureView unite

SureView and Honeywell unite.

Honeywell are actively encouraging collaboration within the security industry as part of its drive to promote the Honeywell open technology alliance. The latest company to come on board is SureView the company behind Immix the central station management software.

The alliance suits both parties and the integration between Immix and WIN-PAK CS 4.1 means integrated access control now has an added level of security and allows other manufacturers equipment to be displayed to the operator through a single graphical interface. This means a response and full management of a an access control system is handled in just one location thus eliminating the need for an on-site guard with all the saving that this can bring.

The whole concept gives companies like SureView the opportunity  to offer their customers more choice when designing there security systems and to ensure integration between different products is made simple. In essence the software captures alerts and alarms from the on-site access control and seamlessly matches this to CCTV images from the cameras on site.

Any integration between access control and CCTV is welcomed and is certainly the way forward for the industry.
