The new Qvis HD SDI DVR and camera range will be on sale and available to buy here in the UK from May 2012. 

The Qvis HD SDI DVR will have lots of juicy features as standard and these will include,

D1 imaging with 25fps recording on all channels.

H.264 compression this will enable the HD SDI DVR to reduce noise interference and in addition will include a de-interlacing feature.

The Qvis HD SDI DVR has intelligent recording technology, this is used to maximise the amount of data that can be held on the hard drive at any one time. With HD SDI the quality of the picture is second to none but the amount storage has to be well managed. Qvis have achieved this here with the Apollo unit.

To give even further flexibility the parameters on each camera can be individually configured. This enhances the use of the audio features and as a result the Qvis HD SDI DVR has lip-sync audio on all channels.

Advanced search facilities allows  motion to be detected across an entire field of view or sub- regions of this with multi channel playback and single step searching meaning all events are easy to find.

The Qvis HD SDI DVR also has all the usual remote access facilities you would expect. Access cam be achieved both from your PC or your mobile device.

This HD SDI DVR gets its powerful performance from a dual-core CPU and can support 8 SATA HDD’s up to 24 TB it also has a built in web-server.

We expect the Qvis HD SDI DVR to retail around the £1300 mark so it will be highly competitive. Qvis also offer  HD SDI cameras within their new range. These include:

Apollo HD SDI DVR

The new Apollo HD SDI DVR has now been officially launched. This 4 channel HD SDI CCTV package is capable of producing high quality images at 1080P using existing coax as its transmission medium. This keeps the installation simple and infrastructure costs low at the same time as providing HD images without the need to go down the IP route.

Apollo HD SDI DVRFor more information the unit can be viewed at IFSEC this year in Hall 5 stand 5B40, but simply put, it is the Dahua badged HD SDI DVR that has been expected to be released for some time.

Features include iPhone and iPad connectivity, while a duel core CPU presents excellent recoding playback and network performance. PTZ dome control, easy back up via USB or DVD-RW and network download.

Importantly the Apollo HD SDI DVR can support up to 12TB and comes with a built in webserver.

Today we look at how Dahua have introduced the new SD6681-HN 1.3
megapixel PTZ dome camera.

This IP PTZ dome camera boast many features
including the Sony CCD chip that allows quality images and progressive
scan. A powerful 18:1 optical zoom lens gives the unit the ability to
cover large areas but still give the end user the quality images that
they require.

As with all domes the ability to be able to operate in areas of low light
is essential and the Dahua IP PTZ dome camera comes equipped with a
day/night auto iris and auto focus lens that ensures the end user will
be able to gain quality images in difficult lighting situations. Dahua
appreciate that high speed panning means alarms can be seen quickly and
the SD6681-HN has a pan speed of up to 400 degrees per second and
endless pan rotation. IP PTZ domes need redundancy when it comes to
recording and an on board hot swappable SD card gives this Dahua camera
32 gig of on board memory should the primary recording solution fail.
Complete with a built in web-server remote access to the camera means
servicing is easy and firmware upgrades can be carried out without
inconvenience to the customer. In addition Access from the web is simple.
